First and Business class passengers on Japanese carriers already have access to some of the best products in the world.
It is the only country to have two Skytrax 5-star rated airlines.
Last year ANA rolled out new first and business-class products that improved an already great experience and now their domestic rival is following suit.
Japan Airlines is set to upgrade its premium travel experience with the addition of new Airbus A350-1000 jets.
The airline promises that the A350-1000 will offer a never-before-seen experience for passengers, as they aim to compete with rival airline ANA and their highly-regarded first and business-class suites.
The first passengers to experience the new suites will travel between Tokyo-Haneda and New York starting this November.
The A350-1000 will replace the outdated Boeing 777-300ER as the airline’s long-range flagship.
Japan Airlines currently has 13 A350-1000s on order from Airbus and these will join their existing fleet of mid-sized A350-900s.
The airline has stated they will reveal more information on the A350-1000 when it becomes available.
