Hot on the heels of the reveal of the Regent Hong Kong, IHG has opened another refurbished and rebranded Intercontinental Hotel.
The Intercontinental Carlton Cannes has spent two years being refurbished and is now the Carlton Cannes, A Regent Hotel.
Located in the center of the Cote d’Azur, the iconic property is a distinctive landmark on the Riveria.
The 332-key hotel has been renovated by French interior designer Tristan Auer.
The two-year renovation preserved the hotel’s historic features, including its Belle Epoque façade.
There has been the addition of two extra wings which house luxury residences at the rear of the property.
Guests can also expect peristyle alcoves, sunbathing decks, handcrafted cabanas and the largest hotel infinity pool in Cannes.
Amenities also include a fitness and spa complex, The C Club, which includes a boxing ring, gym, yoga and Pilates studio.
The hotel has 332 rooms and suites, 72 of which have a prized sea view.
The seventh floor of the hotel has four signature suites, including The Katara Suite, The Grace Kelly Suite, The Cary Grant Suite and The Kirk Douglas Suite.
On the sixth floor is The Alfred Hitchcock Suite, which is the exact room where the kiss scene between Grace Kelly and Cary Grant in “To Catch a Thief” was filmed.
In the other tower on the same floor, The Suzanne Lenglen Suite pays tribute to the tennis legend who played the “Match of the Century” at the hotel in 1926.
The hotel also offers 37 residences located in the two new wings.
The residences were designed as lavish Mediterranean homes, with all the amenities for extended stays and access to all of the hotel’s facilities and services.
The uppermost floor has a huge penthouse topped by a private landscaped rooftop with a private jacuzzi.
The hotel has three restaurants, three bars, a tea lounge and a cigar lounge.
The Riviera Restaurant is an all-day dining destination overlooking La Croisette, serving traditional French brasserie cuisine.
Rüya will open in May serving Turkish cuisine.
The newly renovated Carlton Beach Club welcomes guests in a chic and relaxed setting.
Bar 58 will offer cocktails, wine, and champagne along with light meals.
2023 is proving to be very active for the Regent brand with the Regent Bali, Regent Shanghai On The Bund and Regent Santa Monica Beach still set to open this year.
