The Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel has officially opened its doors in a beautifully restored 19th-century landmark on Nice’s boardwalk.
This marks the brand’s European expansion, as they bring their unique blend of luxury and cultural richness to this new location.
The hotel, located on the Promenade des Anglais, has undergone an extensive two-year renovation, bringing the Belle Époque-era building back to its former glory.
With 151 rooms, including 38 suites, guests will be able to enjoy stunning sea views from many of the rooms, which feature terraces and balconies.
The hotel also boasts a new Anantara Spa, a seminar space with six meeting rooms and a ballroom, as well as a rooftop restaurant and bar with a 360-degree view of the Baie des Anges and Old Nice.
The interior of the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel has been expertly designed by a consortium of interior designers and architects, including David Collins Studio, local architect Jean-Paul Gomis, and TBC Studio. The design is inspired by the Mediterranean Sea and the “golden era” of Côte d’Azur, making guests feel as though they have stepped back in time to a more elegant and luxurious era.
One of the highlights of the hotel is the rooftop bar, SEEN by Olivier, where guests can enjoy Mediterranean fare from Portuguese chef and entrepreneur Olivier da Costa.
The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with stunning views over the city.
Les Colonnades, another dining option at the hotel, serves fresh seafood and local fare, accompanied by a range of wines by the glass, and also offers afternoon tea.
In addition to the luxurious accommodations and dining options, the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel offers guests a range of activities to explore the surrounding area.
Guests can go on a full-day tour to explore the creative life of French designer Coco Chanel, visit one of France’s oldest wineries, go on a wine-tasting experience of Anantara’s private cuvées, and even learn the art of glass blowing in the French countryside.
For those looking to relax, the spa offers five treatment rooms, a hammam, and a sauna. Guests can also take advantage of the 24-hour fitness centre, or take a jog along the seafront Promenade.
Personal trainers are also available to help guests reach their fitness goals.
The Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel looks like a great addition to the hotel scene in the South of France and UCT will hopefully review it soon.
