The flag carrier of Uzbekistan has placed a firm order with Airbus for 12 A320neo Family aircraft – eight A320neo and four A321neo.
The new aircraft will join the carrier’s current fleet of 17 Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
The airline plans to operate its new aircraft to develop its domestic and international route network further.
Not usually an airline on UCF’s radar – Uzbekistan Airways flies a fleet of narrow-bodied airbus aircraft and Boeing-wide bodies, including seven 787s.
The narrow body product looks respectable, although it is unclear if the new planes might upgrade the experience.
It is significantly better than the intra-European business class offered by most European carriers.
The airline maintains a solid international network with significant connectivity throughout Russia and the former Soviet states.
